It is an honor to introduce myself as the principal of Camelot Elementary School. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than seventeen years; all with Orange County Public Schools. I have worked with a variety of grades ranging from K-12th grade and have taught all grades K-12 except 8th grade. Most recently I served as acting principal of West Orange High School and also served as acting principal of Blanker K-8. I have also been an assistant principal at both the high school and elementary levels at Boone High School and Hunter’s Creek Elementary. I grew up in State College Pennsylvania and attended Shippensburg University for my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am also a two time University of Central Florida graduate with a Master's Degree in TESOL and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership.
To the Camelot families, I look forward to meeting with you in the near future and will be sharing some videos on social media (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) about myself so we can get to know each other “virtually”. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them a world-class learning environment.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Melissa Gordon
